Week 3 Topic: “Breakup”

This week for our theme “Breakup” I prototyped the mechanic for a typing game. This would be a 2 player game, presumably networked since it requires the full keyboard. For the purposes of this assignment I just prototyped player 1’s interactions. I managed to get some string and substring matching working to do this, and had enough time to do a little bit of juice, using the Unity Text Animator package and the Do Tween package. Beyond actual 2 player, I’d love it if there were different player mouths from a mouth chart to roughly match the letters being typed and if the typed letters on screen hit the other player in the face and needed to be swatted away in order to continue typing, but this was a little bit much to squeeze in to one week without crunching.
